Dr. Dennis H. Cremin, associate professor of at Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå University, will speak at the Nov. 10 opening reception of the Smithsonian Institution’s Journey Stories Exhibit at the Princeton Public Library in Princeton, Ill. Cremin will speak about his experience working with the exhibit collection. The Smithsonian Institution Stories Exhibit will run through Dec. 29. The Journey Stories exhibit will then travel to Freeport and Pontiac.

"Mallory Laurel, from the Illinois Humanities Council, and I have worked with these communities for well over a year," said Cremin. "The members of the Illinois Humanities Council visit cultural institutions across the state. I really enjoy visiting all of these communities and thinking about their collections," he added.

Cremin is an Illinois State Scholar, named by the Illinois Humanities Council. In the role, Cremin consults on the local exhibits of cultural institutions in smaller communities that apply to host the Journey Stories exhibit.
